The Korea Association of Ventilation Industry Companies (KAVIC) was founded in 2020 in pursuit of its motto to “promote public health and develop the ventilation industry with indoor air quality management systems.” KAVIC convened its inaugural general meeting on April 20, 2020, and obtained permission as a corporate entity from the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport on November 2, 2020.
As members, KAVIC features companies that manufacture individual ventilation systems and components that are mainly installed in residential properties, schools, and multi-purpose facilities. KAVIC is tasked with solving common issues identified among its members, research and development, distributing technology, establishing universal standards, education/public relations, research and statistics, promoting friendly relations between members, efficiently managing indoor air quality, and making suggestions to the government to facilitate the growth of the ventilation industry.
